Edison Caldwell age 94 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026 at the Prestonsburg Heath Care Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was born September 22, 1931 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Shadie and Tressie Arnett Caldwell.
Survived by one brother, David Caldwell of Salyersville, Kentucky, two sisters, Virginia Caldwell Harmon of Lima, Ohio, Linda Caldwell Russell of Tampa Florida, and several grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Edison, is preceded in death by one son, Ben Edison Caldwell, one daughter, Angela Lopez Caldwell, four brothers, Eddie Joe Caldwell, Dewey Caldwell, Raleigh Caldwell, Richard Lee Caldwell, five sisters, Lahoma Ricard, Betty Jane Nealis, Ruth Caudill, Birdie Caldwell, and Arcie Mae Mills.
Edison was a United States Army Veteran and served in the First Airbourne Task Force.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Howard Connelley officiating.
Burial followed in the Patrick – Lovely Cemetery at Johnson Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
