Elmer Ray Saylor age 59 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was born November 23, 1961 in Stockbridge, Michigan to the late Harrison and Modie Fletcher Saylor.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Perkins Saylor, one son, Shannon Ray (Amber) Saylor of Salyersville, Kentucky, three daughters, Kandi (Terence) Prater of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Trista (Jamie) Davis, Leeann Saylor Bailey, both of Salyersville, Kentucky, three brothers, Ralph Saylor of Florida, Silas Saylor, Darrell Dallas Saylor, both of Salyersville, Kentucky, six sisters, Alma Jackson of Paintsville, Kentucky, Evelyn Hicks, Janet Perkins, Lisa Wallen, Bonnie Howard, Thelma Gasparac, all of Salyersville, Kentucky, Genna Holloway Connelley, who he love like a daughter, fifteen grandchildren, Chelsi (Dalton Sherman) Lykins, Sebastin Davis, Madison Williams, Cloey Davis, Carolina (Toby Minix) Williams, Gage Davis, Mason Williams, Conner Davis, Gabriel Saylor, Keyonna Bailey, Akleah Saylor, Destiny Davis, Tia Saylor, Fantasia Mullins, Takeriah Mullins, soon to be great grandchild, Rylian Thomas Charley Sherman, with a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by two sisters, Christina Saylor, Genevieve Hackworth, and one son-in-law, Charley Bailey, Jr.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Robert May and Herman Roberts officiating.
Burial followed in the Saylor Family Cemetery at Birch Branch, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
