Erma Wireman Lovely age 90 from Salyersville, Kentucky passed Monday, May 05, 2025 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born October 19, 1934 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Walter and Sadie Wireman.
Survived by three sons, Ralph Lovely, Willie Ray (Phyllis) Lovely, Lee Lovely all of Gunlock, Kentucky, two daughters, Rose M. Lovely of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Mary (Raleigh) Rife of Gunlock, Kentucky, two brothers, Claude Wireman of Michigan, Russell Wireman of Tennessee, Kashetta Hale of Ohio, seventeen grandchildren, Loretta McKenzie, Lorena Collins, Ralph Stephen Lovely, Julius Lovely, Rose Mary Thornton, Dereck Lovely, Serena Betzer, Cecil Douglas Lovely, Wayne Lovely, Rachel Cole, Cecelia Russell, Jaymie Lovely, Meagan Lovely, Reagan Lovely, Clay Lovely, Phillip Lovely, Lance Lovely, with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Erma is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lovely, two sons, Cecil Lovely, Jr., Carter Lovely, five brothers, Harold Dean Wireman, Cledith Wireman, Clyde Wireman, Herbert Wireman, Robert “Bob” Wireman, four sisters, Sue Dale Wireman, Jane Durall, Brenda Jo Wireman, and Charlene Hale.
Erma was well known for her weekly column in the Salyersville Independent, “Erma’s Favorites. She was also an active member of the Magoffin County Seniors Citizens.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 09, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Chapel with Paul Smith and Harold Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in the Lovely Cemetery at Gunlock, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Thursday, May 08, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
