SALYERSVILLE – A Magoffin County grand jury indicted three people on Thursday, September 7:
Gerald D. Williams, 39, of Old Lick Creek Road, in Salyersville, is charged with the second offense of failure to comply with the sex offender registration, a Class C felony.
According to the indictment, from on or about March 23, 2023, through August 2, 2023, Williams allegedly failed to provide his current address to the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry, as required.
Earl McKenzie, 51, of Will May Branch Road, in Salyersville, is charged with theft by unlawful taking from building, $1,000 or more but under $10,000, a Class D felony. According to the indictment, on or about June 8, 2023, McKenzie allegedly took or exercised control over movable property valued at $1,504.99, which belonged to another person.
Clydetta Bailey, 43, of Will May Branch Road, in Salyersville, is charged with theft by unlawful taking from building, $1,000 or more but under $10,000, a Class D felony. According to the indictment, on or about June 8, 2023, Bailey allegedly took or exercised control over movable property valued at $1,504.99, which belonged to another person (same person listed as the victim in McKenzie’s indictment).
Arrest warrants were issued for the three defendants, though none have been served as of press time.
