LEXINGTON – A Hazel Green man facing federal drug trafficking charges plans to change his plea in court later this month, asking the court for a rearraignment hearing.
Clyde R. Endicott, also known as Rudy, 55, of Hazel Green, is now set for rearraignment on February 19, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at the United States Courthouse in Lexington, and his jury trial set for March is now canceled.
Endicott is charged with conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of a methamphetamine mixture in Wolfe County, Breathitt County and Magoffin County from June 2023 through June 2025. His other charges stem from Wolfe County and include the following: four counts of distribution of controlled substance, methamphetamine; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and possession with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a methamphetamine mixture.
Given his charges and the quantity of methamphetamine involved, Endicott is facing not less than 10 year nor more than life imprisonment, not more than a $10 million fine, and at least five years supervised release for the drug charges. For the firearm charge, he faces not more than 15 years imprisonment, not more than a $250,000 fine, and not more than three years supervised release.
At press time, Endicott is being held at the Pike County Detention Center for U.S. Marshals.
