Helen J. Conley McCarty age 74 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 07, 2026 at the St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born July 16,1951 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Grady Conley and Virginia Fay Prater Saylor.
Survived by her husband, Roger McCarty, two sons, Avram and wife, Kyra Baier – McCarty of Morehead, Kentucky, Roger and wife, Heidi McCarty, II of Paintsville, Kentucky, one brother, Roy H. Conley of Salyersville, Kentucky, three sisters, Nelda M. Cole of Salyersville, Kentucky, Klena Godbey of Nashville, Tennessee, Anna Sue Whitaker of Chattanooga, Tennessee, four grandchildren, Myles McCarty, Mahala McCarty, Donald McCarty, and Shanley McCarty.
In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by one daughter, Mahala Fay McCarty, one son, Donald “Don” McCarty, one brother, James Grady Conley, two sisters, Louemma Holbrook, and Lavonda Kinney.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, February 11, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Douglas Dunn officiating. Burial followed in the Jeff Prater Memorial Cemetery at May Branch, Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
