Ina Nell Helton Lyon age 86 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Salyersville Nursing and Rehab Center in Salyersville, Kentucky. She was born April 25, 1938 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Sherman and Cassie Mae Hartsock Helton.
Survived by three daughters, Linda (Rick) Jones of West Liberty, Kentucky, Judy (Jeff) Penix of West Liberty, Kentucky, Karen (Tim) Collins of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, Billy Gene Helton of Salyersville, Kentucky, two sisters, Betty Jo Jenkins of Salyersville, Kentucky, Elva (Raleigh) Jenkins of West Liberty, Kentucky, one brother-in-law, Bill Stapleton, four grandchildren, Amy (Cooter) Stacy, Amanda (Daniel) Ferguson, Abby (Casey) Kendrick, Tyler Collins, three great-grandchildren, Braden Stacy, Braxton Stacy, and Addy Ferguson.
In addition to her parents, Ina Nell is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Lyon, one infant daughter, Vanessa Lyon, one grandson, Wesley Steven Penix, two brothers, Rainey Virgil “Bud” Helton, Elmer Hassel Helton, two sisters, Joyce Ann Stapleton, and Virgie Francis.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 19, 2024 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with C.J. Tackett and John Blanton officiating. Burial followed in the Lyon Cemetery at Coon Creek, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
