SALYERSVILLE – A Magoffin County grand jury indictment was released this week as another defendant was served.
In April of this year a grand jury indicted Bryan D. Benton, 48, of Scott Ave. in Salyersville, on one charge of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon (Class C felony). According to the indictment, on or about November 13, 2023, Benton allegedly possessed a handgun when he had previously been convicted of a felony.
Indictments are now released as the defendants are served, hence why this is an indictment issued in April but being released now.
