Indictment released

SALYERSVILLE – A Magoffin County grand jury released the following indictment last week, issued in November:

Latisha R. Conley, 46, of Old Lick Creek Rd., Salyersville, is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, greater than or equal to two grams of methamphetamine (Class C felony); tampering with physical evidence (Class D felony); first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, methamphetamine (Class D felony); and possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor).

According to the indictment, on or about May 22, 2024, Conley allegedly manufactured, distributed, dispensed, sold, transferred, or possessed, with the intent to manufacture, distribute or sell a quantity of methamphetamine. She also allegedly destroyed, mutilated, concealed, removed, or altered physical evidence so it couldn’t be used in official proceedings, possessed a quantity of methamphetamine, and possessed drug paraphernalia with the intent of using to introduce a controlled substance into the human body.

The indictment was issued on November 7, 2024, but was released to the public after the arrest warrant was served on December 23. Since her arrest, Conley has remained at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. She is scheduled to be arraigned on January 16, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Magoffin County Justice Center.
