Jamie Kern, age 30, a resident of Sulpher Springs Road in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at his home.
Jamie was born October 25, 1991 at ARH Highlands in Prestonsburg, Kentucky the son of James and Vonda Arnett Kerns of Salyersville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kash and Millie Arnett, and paternal grandfather, Jim Kern.
Jamie is a graduate of Magoffin County High School and was employed as a Mill Wright from Local Union 1076. He loved spending time hunting, being outdoors, and with his family.
Those left to mourn includes his parents, James and Vonda Kern of Salyersville, Kentucky, sons, James Kern of Salyersville, Kentucky, Garrett Kern of Salyersville, Kentucky, Daughters, Abigail Kern of Salyersville, Kentucky, Jaylynn Kern of Salyersville, Kentucky, brother, Jimmy Kern of Salyersville, Kentucky, Grandmother, Donna Kern of Gunlock, Kentucky, nieces, Jimah Kern, Bristol Kern, Brenlyn Kern of Addington, Virginia, Girlfriend, Courtney Patrick of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Jamie Kern were conducted Monday, October 10, 2022 from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Interment followed in the Kern Family Cemetery on Sulpher Springs Road in Salyersville, Kentucky. Contributions can be made to the Memorial Fund here at the Salyersville Funeral Home.
