Jay D “M.T.” Wireman age 85 of Royalton, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the Greg and Norman Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born September 01, 1939 at Waldo, Kentucky to the late James and Lula Wireman.
Survived by his wife, Stella Joseph Wireman, one son, Jeffrey Wireman of Indiana, step-children, Lloyd (Mitzi) Patrick of Indiana, Zula (Steve) Massengill of Tennessee, Dudley (Geneva) Joseph of Campton, Kentucky, Billy (Sandra) Patrick of Royalton, Kentucky, Patricia (Bobby) Joseph of Royalton, Kentucky, James (Tammy) Joseph of West Liberty, Kentucky, Lynn (Rick) Rowe of Royalton, Kentucky, Orville Gail Shepherd of Salyersville, Kentucky, Tabitha Lykins of Salyersville, Kentucky, Lesia Risner of Winchester, Kentucky, and one brother, Forrest Wireman of Ashland, Kentucky, one brother-in-law, Garland Arnett, nephews, Alan Wireman of Maystown, Ohio, David Wireman of Ohio, Garland Wireman, Jr., of Pikeville, Kentucky, nieces, Sherry Lynn Roberts of Maystown, Ohio, Betsy Arnett Jabour of North Carolina, with a host of grandchildren, family, and friends.
In addition to his parents, M.T. is preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Tammy Poe, seven brothers, Pony Wireman, Aquinaldo “Buster”. James, Jr., David, Donald, Mildsh, infant brother, five sisters, Beulah, Edna, Ruth, Betty Lou, and Mildred Louise.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Howard officiating. Burial followed in the Lula Wireman Cemetery at Trace, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
