JoAnn Slone McCarty, age 72, a resident of Stinson Road in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023 at her home.
JoAnn was born May 8, 1951 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Harry and Ona Penix Slone. Husband, Orville McCarty, and brother, Billy Tackett, also preceded in death.
JoAnn was a homemaker and devoted member to her family. She enjoyed spending time with them as often as she could.
In her passings she leaves behind son, Gary McCarty and wife Manda of West Liberty, Kentucky, daughter, Melissa Holbrook and husband Kenneth of Salyersville, Kentucky, brother, Charles “Bub” Tackett of Salyersville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Abby Holbrook and Kenan Holbrook of Salyersville, Kentucky, Jaden McCarty, Taylor McCarty, and Weston McCarty of West Liberty, Kentucky, a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral services for JoAnn McCarty were conducted Wednesday, July 5, from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Beecher McCarty Jr. delivered comforting words on the day of the funeral service. Interment followed in the Beecher McCarty Family Cemetery off Stinson Road in Salyersville, Kentucky.
