Kayla Nicole Elam age 17 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 06, 2024 at the Highlands ARH Hospital in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She was born January 28, 2007 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Randy and Mary Ruth Howard Elam.
Survived by her parents, her fiancé’ Kenny Auxier, maternal grandmother, Ruth Howard, a special uncle Elmer Taylor Elam, with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also, would like to include her dear friends and co-workers, who held a special place in her heart.
Kayla is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Lester Howard, paternal grandparents, Charlie and Joyce Elam, aunt , Brenda Sue Elam, uncles, Rockie Howard, William Gamble, two first cousins, Jeremy Dillon Howard, and L.J. Mullins.
Kayla was a faithful member of the Licking Valley United Baptist Church, senior at the Magoffin County High School, and an employee at the Salyersville McDonald’s.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 11, 2024 from the Head of Coon Creek Church, at 4680 Coon Creek, Salyersville, Kentucky, with Gary Bolen, Jeffery Helton, and Greg Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Head of Buffalo Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the church all day Thursday, and any time prior to funeral services on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested contributions made to the memorial fund at the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
