Kelly Risner age 94 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 05, 2022 at his home. He was born April 25, 1928 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Less and Julie Whitaker Risner.
Survived by two sons, Stan Kelly (Jerri) Risner, Shannon David (Tonya) Risner both of Salyersville, Kentucky, five daughters, Rosa Sharon (Ricky Gamble) Slone, Laura Edith (Harry) Howard, Julie Marie (Scottie) Hall. Kimberly (David) Vanhoose all of Salyersville, Kentucky, Pamelene Risner of Royalton, Kentucky, two brothers, Lloyd Risner, George Risner both of Royalton, Kentucky, one sister, Sissy Prater of Royalton, Kentucky, twenty-six grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Kelly is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Mae Bailey Risner, whom he married August 31, 1960, three brothers, Kermit Risner, Garland Risner, Boyd Risner, five sisters, Edith Risner Howard, Susie Prater, Mary Risner, Estie Fitzpatrick, Goldie Risner, two sons-in-law, Gary Gibson, and Carison Slone.
Kelly was a devoted member of the Boyd Risner Memorial Church.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 08, 2022 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Dallas Patrick and Robert May officiating. Burial followed in Kelly Risner Sweet Rose Cemetery at Kermit Risner Road, Royalton, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested that contributions made to the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
