Kenny Ray Blanton, age 45, a resident of Paintsville, Kentucky, formally of Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, at St. Marys Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia after complications of a logging accident.
Kenny was born October 18, 1979 the son of Kelly B. Blanton and the late Martha Hill Blanton. Sister, Charlene Blanton, also preceded in death.
Kenny enjoyed the outdoors and being with his family and friends. He was known for his logging techniques and skill.
Those left to mourn includes father, Kelly B. Blanton, siblings, Michael Edward Blanton of Salyersville, Kentucky, Kellie Ann Gilliam and husband Francis of St. Louis, Missouri, Jeffery Paul Blanton and wife Cecelia of Nettie, West Virginia, Brandy Nicole Ball and husband Johnathon of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, partner, Lisa Spradlin of Paintsville, Kentucky, children, Wyatt Spradlin, April Perkins, and a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Kenny Ray Blanton will be conducted Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Flat Fork Freewill Baptist Church on Flat Fork Road in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy William Jenkins and Dennis Marshall will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Blanton Cemetery on Jellico Road in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Thursday, August 21, 2025, after 6:00 PM and anytime prior to the funeral service from the church. Contributions can be made to the memorial fund here at the funeral home.
