The Kiwanis Club of Salyersville is pleased to announce the sponsorship of the newly formed Key Club at Magoffin County High School. Through the collaborative effort with MCHS Principal Brian Conley, the Key Club is a reality.
The purpose of Key Club is to provide high school students with opportunities to serve their communities, build character and develop leadership skills through hands-on service projects.
November 3rd – 7th, 2025, is Key Club Awareness Week.
This is an annual celebration held by Key Clubs to showcase its commitment to service and raise awareness about Key Club activities.
Under the leadership of the Kiwanis Advisor, Melissa Hines, and MCHS Faculty Advisor, Kasie Howard, the newly formed Key Club has 45 members, elected officers, formed committees and developed goals for the club.
Other Kiwanis Facilitators committed to helping the Key Club are: Tammy Messer, Shenna Howard and Tammy Lafferty.
With combined support from the Kiwanis Club of Salyersville, Magoffin County School District and community involvement, the Key Club will help develop and build better communities through service to others.
