WEST LIBERTY — Magoffin County shut out host Morgan County 3-0 in a high school volleyball regular season finale on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
After claiming the win, Magoffin County improved to 5-18.
Morgan County dropped to 3-18 following the loss.
Longtime rivals, Magoffin County and Morgan County are familiar foes. Magoffin County registered its second win over Morgan County in the 2023 high school volleyball season.
Starting strong, Magoffin County won the first game 25-15.
Continuing to control the match, Magoffin County won the second game 25-17.
Pulling out the win, Magoffin County topped Morgan County 25-21 in the third game.
Under the direction of Coach Haley Miller, Magoffin County recorded wins over Morgan County, Jackson City and June Buchanan during the regular season.
Following the regular season finale, Magoffin County turned its focus to competing in the 57th District Volleyball Tournament.
