Larry Bailey, age 77, a resident of Mill Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Kings Daughter Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
Larry was born February 10, 1945 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late Earl and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Arnett Bailey. Brothers, Ellis Bailey, Max Bailey, Rubin Bailey, and Edison Bailey also preceded him in death.
Larry served his Country in the United States Army and is a Veteran of the Vietnam War where he was honorably discharged. He was employed in the coal industry until his retirement.
Those left to mourn includes wife, Carol Prater Bailey, daughters, Cathy Bailey of Salyersville, Kentucky, Kristy McCarty and husband Brian of Salyersville, Kentucky, Kellie Shepherd and husband Brian of Salyersville, Kentucky, brother, Edward Bailey of Oakhurst, California, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends will love and miss him.
Funeral services for Larry Bailey were conducted Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Greg Minix delivered comforting words on the day of service. Interment followed in the Earl Bailey Family Cemetery on Mill Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky. Military Rites were given by the Magoffin Co. Chapter 15 D.A.V.
