Lexie Gullett Francis, age 85, a resident of Burning Fork (though her heart remained on Pricey Creek Road) in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at home surrounded by a host of family and friends.
Lexie was born on May 11, 1940, in Cisco, Kentucky, to the late Minnie and Wade Gullett, who preceded her in death. Lexie was married to the late Charles Harrison Francis on April 8, 1958 and enjoyed many wonderful years of marriage until his passing. Lexie was a devoted housewife and member of the Elk Fork Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda & Graham Martin of Salyersville, daughter-in-law, Bronna Ward Francis, granddaughter, Jessica Ann & Jack Prater of Salyersville, grandson, Charles Michael Channing Francis of Berea, grandson, Todd & Sabrina Martin, of Salyersville, granddaughter, Erin & Landon Stigall of Wilmington, North Carolina, and great grandchildren Kyle Edward & Tierra Watkins, Collin Graham Martin, Kate Elizabeth Martin, and Lincoln Everett Stigall.
Lexie is also survived by her brother, Roby & Rose Gullett, sisters-in-law, Josephine Gullett, Sue Gullett, and Wandeline Francis, and brother-in-law, Norman Allen. In addition, she was survived by her dear friend, Langley Lykins, a host of beloved nieces and nephews who she loved like her own children, a large family, and many friends who will love and miss her.
In addition to her parents, Lexie is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harrison Francis, and son, Michael Dale Francis. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Ruie Nickell, Ruby Wills, Juanita Deaton, Faye McClure, Paul B. Gullett, Frank Gullett, Gladys Ison, Woodrow Mitchell Gullett, Troy Gullett, Leroy Gullett, Ella Mae Nickell, and Irene Isaac.
Funeral services for Lexie Gullett Francis were conducted on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from the chapel of the Magoffin County Funeral Home with Elder Dan Ison, Elder John Howard, Elder Rick Howard, and Pastor Channing Francis officiating. Interment followed at the Alton Francis Cemetery on Bloomington in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
