Matthew “Bubba” Bob Reed, age 47, a resident of Laurel Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at his home with family.
Matt was born May 6, 1975 in Pikeville, Kentucky the son of the late Bob Reed and Dianna Harvey Reed. Sister, Angela Reed, also preceded him in death.
Matt is a graduate of Magoffin County High School. He was employed as a Millwright . He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was also a member of the Kernie Freewill Baptist Church on Johnson Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Those left to mourn includes mother, Dianna Harvey Reed, son Jennings Matthew Reed, daughters Jaylee Brenna Reed, Jerrica Lynn Reed, mother of his children, Jessica Reed, brothers, Greg Reed and wife Shellie of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Steve Reed of Salyersville, sister, Camille Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Matthew Reed were conducted Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Otto “Butch” Whitaker, delivered comforting words on the day of service. Interment followed in the Reed Family Cemetery on Laurel Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky.
