Michael Long age 47 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 08, 2025 at the Highlands ARH Hospital in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
He was born April 15, 1977 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to Gordon and Carolyn Davis Long.
Survived by his parents, his wife, Sebrina Helton Long, one daughter, Ashton Long of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, David Long of Country of Belize, one sister, Bethany (Christian) Newman of Chicago, Illinois, three uncles, Larry (Becky) Long of Winchester, Kentucky, Steve (Donna) Long of Jeffersonville, Kentucky, Tim (Mary) Davis of Winchester, Kentucky, one aunt, Tammy Burchett of Lanier, Tennessee, two nephews, Eli Tate, Brysen, one niece, Vivienne, maternal grandmother, Sally Davis, with numerous cousins, family, and friends.
Michael is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Gordon Burgen and Martha Long, and maternal grandfather, Carroll Davis.
Michael served in the United States Army and a member of the Lakeville Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Justin Williams officiating. A private burial followed.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested that contributions made to the Michael Gordon Long Scholarship Fund.
Military rites were given by the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15 the day of the funeral service.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
