Morris Thompson age 72 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 at the Paintsville ARH Hospital in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was born August 30, 1950 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Ellner Oaks Thompson.
Survived by his wife, Debbie Salyer Thompson, one son, Mickey Thompson of Salyersville, Kentucky, two daughters, Christy (Michael Atha) Thompson of Salyersville, Kentucky, Jennifer (Joseph) Thompson-Black of Lexington, Kentucky, one brother, Horace Grant Thompson, four sisters, Ethel Smith of Jackson, Kentucky, Ora Lea Thompson of Salyersville, Kentucky, Brenda Thompson of Salyersville, Kentucky, Patty Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Isabella Grace Thompson, Spencer Eli Black, and Owen Ford Thompson.
In addition to his parents, Morris is preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Dean Thompson, and Alfred Thompson.
Graveside services were conducted Wednesday February 15, 2023 from the Bruce Arnett Cemetery at South Arnett Branch, Salyersville, Kentucky with Larry Williams officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
