Morrison Hamilton Prater age 80 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at his home. He was born October 21, 1940 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Morrison and Emma Rose Johnson Prater.
Survived by his wife, Wanda Faye Lykins Prater, three sons, Jackie Prater, Neil Prater, both of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Jeffrey Lykins of Salyersville, Kentucky, three daughters, Kelea Prater, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Joyce Fannin, Rose Lykins, both of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister, Fontainne Prater (Jim) Ritchie, of Salyersville, Kentucky, fifteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Morrison is preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Sue Prater Howard, Nordia Lou Prater Connelley, and brother-in-law Orville Connelley.
Morrison was mechanic by trade, a United Stated Army Veteran, and a member of the Prater Memorial United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 22, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Jack Howard officiating. Burial followed in the Bluegrass Cemetery at Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
