Myrtle Arnett Howard, age 75, a resident of Pioneer Road in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Friday, February 21, 2025 at the Prestonsburg Health Care in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
Myrtle was born February 10, 1950 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Prock and Nora Kimberlian Arnett. Sisters, Lilly Arnett, Alene Farris, Ann Howard, and Loraine Montgomery also preceded in death.
Myrtle and her husband, Delbert Howard, were the owners and operators of Howard Wholesale in Salyersville, Kentucky. They also had auction houses and pay lakes. She was a member of the Right Middle Fork United Baptist Church in Salyersville, Kentucky. She loved spending her time with family and friends as often as she could.
Those left to mourn includes husband of fifty-eight years, Delbert Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, daughter, Melissa Brown and husband Dan of Salyersville, Kentucky, sons, Delbert Howard Jr. and wife Ashley of York, South Carolina, Matthew Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, brothers, Glen Arnett of Salyersville, Kentucky, Jerry T. Arnett of Salyersville, Kentucky, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral services for Myrtle Arnett Howard were conducted Monday, February 24, 2025 from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Jim Howard, Jack Jordan, and Dallas Patrick delivered comforting words on the day of service. Interment followed in the Arnett Cemetery on Middle Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky.
The family would like to thank the Prestonsburg Health Care Center for taking such good care of Myrtle during her stay.
