Nelson Lovely, age 75, a resident of Gun Creek Road in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Monday, October 31, 2022 in Royalton, Kentucky
Nelson was born July 3, 1947 the son of the late Ossie and Hortense Jackson Lovely. Wife, Janet Fletcher Lovely, brothers, Mitchell Lovely, Rex Lovely, Garland Lovely, and sisters, Lela May Lovely, Bessie Archer, Dottie Kusiak, Louise Fletcher, and Kay Elsie also preceded in death.
He was employed as a bus driver for the Magoffin County Board of Education until his retirement. Nelson loved hunting, running the dogs, dancing, and being with his family and friends.
Those left to mourn includes special friend, Phyllis Tackett, four sons, Larry “Junior” Salyers and wife Cindy of Louisa, Kentucky, Ronnie Lovely and wife Janelle of Royalton, Kentucky, Tim Lovely and wife Lillian of Royalton, Kentucky, Brandon Todd Lovely and wife Tiffany of Royalton, Kentucky, one sister, Charlotte Elsie of Royalton, Kentucky, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of family and friends whom love and miss him.
Funeral services for Nelson Lovely will be conducted on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Mike Smith will deliver comforting words the day of the service. Interment will follow in the Fletcher Cemetery off Gun Creek Road in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Friday, November 4, after 5 PM, and anytime prior to funeral services. Contributions can be made to the Nelson Lovely Memorial Fund here at the funeral home.
