Nora Eva Burton Holbrook age 91 of Owingsville, Kentucky formerly of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 from the Ridgeway Nursing and Rehab Center in Owingsville, Kentucky. She was born March 31, 1931 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Smith and Flossie Howard Burton.
Survived by two sons, Wilbur Lee (Teresa) Holbrook of Salyersville, Kentucky, Dewey Doug (Susie) Holbrook of Ezel, Kentucky, four daughters, Brenda Sue (Bobby) Ulrey of Owingsville, Kentucky, Betty Lou Jackson of Owingsville, Kentucky, Lillian Maxine (Jackie) Prater of Salyersville, Kentucky, Eva Denise (Chuck) Riddle of Owingsville, Kentucky, one brother, Forest Burton of Owingsville, Kentucky, twenty-seven grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, with a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Nora Eva is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey “Kel” Holbrook, two sons, Robert Holbrook, Scotty Wayne Holbrook, one daughter, Patricia Patty Minix, two brothers, Seldon Burton, Charles Bobby Burton, two sisters, Phyllis Downes, Wilma Jean Rice, two granddaughters, and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 27, 2022 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Lowell C. Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Keeton Cemetery at Johnson Fork, Salyersville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
