Opal Jean Lemaster age 83 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, August 18, 2025 at the Salyersville Health Care Center, Salyersville, Kentucky. Opal was born November 11, 1941 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late; George and Bertha Borders Tackett.
Survivors include one son; Calvin Vance (Emma) Lemaster of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister; Sharon Kay Isaac, family members; Braxton James Smith, Jadon Michael Miller and Karlie Ann Watkins.
In addition to her parents Opal is preceded in death by her husband; Calvin Lemaster, two brothers; Mitchell Tackett and Ishmael Tackett, three sisters; Leatha Mae Carr, Merlene Tackett and Pauline Howard.
Opal was a retired teacher and a member of the Flat Fork Freewill Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Opal Jean Lemaster were conducted Friday, August 22, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Family Cemetery at Mash Fork, Kentucky. Officiating were Dennis Marshall, Pastor Mike Tackett and Larry Adams. .
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
