Patchell Salyer Jr., age 59, a resident of Howard Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Monday, November 21, 2022 at Patchell Salyer Road in Salyersville, Kentucky unexpectedly.
Patchell Jr. was born June 25, 1963 in Oakley, Kentucky the son of the late Patchell and Mae Rowe Salyer, brothers, Timmy Salyer and Roger Wayne Salyer also proceeded him in death.
Patchell Jr. was employed as a custodian for the Magoffin County School System in Salyersville, Kentucky. He loved the school system and the children that attended. He was often found in a Magoffin County Hornets t-shirt, his signature boots, and a smile.
Those left to mourn includes fiancee, Kathleen Miller of Salyersville, Kentucky, son, Roger Lee Salyer and wife Cassie of Salyersville, Kentucky, daughter, Sabrina Kay Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, brothers, Terry Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, Troy Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, Patchell Shaun “Bear” Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, sisters, Diane Porter of Salyersville, Kentucky, Gay Patrick of Salyersville, Kentucky, Bernice Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, Janice Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, Sandy Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, his “Melissa”, Alyssa Osborne, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Patchell Salyer Jr. will be conducted Friday, November 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Manual Minix and Greg Minix will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Montgomery Cemetery on Right Hand Fork of Oakley in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM till 10:00 PM, Thursday from 6:00 PM till 10:00 PM, and anytime Friday prior to funeral services.
