Rita Salyer age 74 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born July 05, 1949 at Lick Creek in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Clyde and Delsie Gillium Johnson.
Survived by her husband, Gary Salyer, three daughters, Kimberly Carol Lewis of Morehead, Kentucky, Patricia Yvonne Powers of Georgia, Misty Dawn Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, one son, Gary Jerome (Brandy) of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, Lawson (Josephine) Johnson of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister, Carol (Hezron) Spradlin of Salyersville, Kentucky, fifteen grandchildren, Jeremy Lynn Harvey, Chris Dwayne (Kathy) Harvey, Lewis Gene Powers, Curtis Douglas (Adriana) Powers, Sarah Mae Powers, Erikah McKenzie Voll, Aaron Jacob Voll, Andrew David Voll, Mylee Dawn Voll, Dakota Salyer, Troy Jerome Salyer, Madelyn Paige Salyer, Carlee Marie Salyer, Brantley Benjamin Bailey, Liam Parker Bailey, six great grandchildren, Christen Corrina Harvey, Landon Christopher Sean Harvey, Charlotte Mae Powers, Warren Douglas Powers, Katelynn Michelle (Luke) Lawson, and Sean Davis Russell Harvey.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Matthew Craft officiating. Burial followed in the Johnson Cemetery at Old Lick Creek Road, Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
