Robert Tyler Chapman age 28 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Spring City, Tennessee. He was born July 08, 1997 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to David Leon Chapman, Jr. and Tammy Bailey Curles.
Survived by his mother; Tammy (Adam) Curles and father; David Leon Chapman, Jr., two brothers; Codi Chapman of Elizabethton, Tennessee, Adam (Amber) White of Fyffe, Alabama, one sister, Ashton (Jonathan) Harper of Boaz, Alabama, special brothers in Arms, Chase, Brando, maternal grandparents, Robert and Ella Mae Bailey, paternal grandfather, Dean Gentry, uncles, Alan (Miranda) Curles, Larry Talley, Jeffery (Elizabeth) Chapman, aunt, Brandy Shepherd, cousins, Jennifer Newsom, Kaitlyn Downing, Brady (Katilynn) Downing, and Braydin Shepherd.
Tyler is preceded in death by one brother, Nathaniel Trumble, three aunts, Janice Downing, Sandy Shepherd, Helen (Dukie) Shepherd, paternal grandparents, Loretta Gentry, and David and Linda Chapman.
Tyler was a member of the United States Marine Corps and of the Chattanooga Local 846.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 15, 2026, from the Lakefront Church of God with Larry Patrick and Tyler Holbrook officiating, burial will follow in the Bailey-Shepherd-Downing-Chapman Cemetery at Mason, Kentucky.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
