Roy Rogers McCarty, age 73, a resident of Stinson Road in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at his home surrounded by family.
Roy was born May 27, 1948 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late Beecher McCarty Sr. and Gustava Carty McCarty. Brothers, Orville McCarty, Daniel Boone McCarty, JK McCarty, Earl McCarty, Donald McCarty, sisters, Buretta Keeton, Shirley McCarty, Darlene LeMaster, Mary Risner, Ganine Patrick, also preceded in death.
Roy was a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. He was found often on the homestead with his family and friends.
Those left to mourn includes daughter, Lisa McCarty Patton of Salyersville, Kentucky, brother, Beecher McCarty Jr. of Salyersville, Kentucky, sisters, Dollie Rose Arnett of Salyersville, Kentucky, Anita Prater of Salyersville, Kentucky, Jackie Montgomery of Mt.Sterling, Kentucky, Barbara Ledford of Slade, Kentucky, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Roy Rogers McCarty were conducted Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy David Jackson delivered comforting words on the day of service. Interment followed in the Beecher McCarty Family Cemetery on Stinson Road in Salyersville, Kentucky.
