Ruie Marie “Pean” Jenkins Montgomery age 91 of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, June 02, 2025 at the Good Shepherd Village in Springfield, Ohio. She was born November 15, 1933 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late; Benjamin and Bertha (Risner) Jenkins.
Ruie is survived by her stepmother, Christine; five brothers, Thurman Ray (Arbutis) Jenkins, Gallord (Elaine) Jenkins, Benzil (Vivian) Jenkins all of Springfield Ohio, Denzil (Rhoda) Jenkins, and Ronald (Audrey) Jenkins all of Salyersville, Kentucky. three sisters; Lillian Howard, Wanda (Jay) Mann both of Salyersville, Kentucky, and Marsha (Ray) Adkins of West Liberty, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, Ruie is preceded in death by her husband, Dona Montgomery, four sisters, and their husbands; Ruth and Bill Turner, Patricia and Junior Travis, Mamie and Richard DeHart, Rosiland Day, brother-in-law; Danny Howard, two nieces, Kimberly Jenkins Estridge, and Emiely Daniels, two nephews, Jerry Tanner and Lionel Daniels.
Ruie dedicated her life to her husband and family. She was a member of the Rockhouse Liberty Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 06, 2025 from the Rockhouse Liberty Baptist Church with Denzil Jenkins, William Prater, and Greg Carty officiating. Burial will follow in the Jenkins Cemetery at Rockhouse, Kentucky. Friends may visit the church Thursday, June 05, 2025 after 5:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
