Two athletes, Abby Bradley and Cheyenne Adkins, will represent Magoffin County at the KHSAA 2A State Track and Field Championships. At the regional championships, Abby threw a 31-9 in shot becoming the regional champion and 91-0 in discus throw breaking the school records and qualifying her for state in both events.
Cheyenne captured runner-up in the 100m hurdles qualifying her for state championships. Cheyenne’s qualifying time was 20.11.
The state meet will be held on Friday, May 30, at 9:30 at the UK Track and Field Facility.
Coaches Tonya Ward, Ronald Thacker, Melissa Hines and Carlos Morgan are so very proud of these amazing young ladies.
