SALYER BRANCH HILL – Emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle collision with entrapment on KY Rt. 7 on Friday.
Around 4 p.m. on Friday, May 31, a serious two-vehicle crash with entrapment occurred at the bottom of the Salyer Branch Hill on KY Rt. 7.
Kentucky State Police, local law enforcement and EMS all responded to the wreck, with a mother and her two children who were passengers in the silver car were out of the vehicle upon arrival of emergency crews.
The driver of the minivan, a female, was stuck in her vehicle, however, with Magoffin County 911 advising responding rescue personnel that there was entrapment.
The operator of the minivan was taken by ambulance to an area hospital and, after suffering injuries, Mortimer Media confirmed with her family that she was released over the course of the weekend.
The status of the female and two children in the other vehicle is unknown at press time.
