Wanetta Howard Ward age 94 of Old Lick Creek Road in Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, June 05, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She was born June 06, 1930 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Toy and Delphia Collinsworth Howard.
Survived by one daughter, Vivian (Jody) Crump of Shelbyville, Kentucky, two granddaughters, Kari Maegan (Jason) Joseph, Kelci Brooke Risner, one great grandchild, Linden Joseph, one brother, Vandal Howard of Morehead, four sisters, Alta Howes, Phyllis May Howard Casebolt, Shirley Gay Howard Helton, and Wilma Lee Howard all of Salyersville, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, Wanetta is preceded in death by her husband, Hassell B. Ward, one son, Roger Ward, four brothers, Hobert “Frank” Howard, Lendon Carl Howard, Jolly Howard, Calvin Howard, three sisters, Joyce Howard, Clara Jean Howard, and Alma Adams.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, June 08, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Carroll and Carl Howard officiating. Burial followed in the Toy and Delphia Howard Cemetery at Lick Creek, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
