Connelley Racing has won, yet, again. The Magoffin-based racing team competed in the World Cup Finals, Imports vs. Domestics, this past weekend, bringing home another title. Connelley Racing tells Mortimer Media Group the race is very unique in that it pairs import cars and domestic cars, where they can race against each other, racing a full quarter mile, instead of the 1/8-mile race they normally do. Racing teams from 24 countries and 348 race cars competed at the sold-out event, with more than 40,000 spectators. In the class Connelley Racing competed in, 40 cars entered and the top 32 made the race on Sunday. Driver Martin Connelley qualified as number one with a 7.22 at 181 and had to win five rounds to win the race.
