SALYERSVILLE — A total of 12 Magoffin County players have earned All-Class 3A, District 8 honors for the 2024 high school football season.
Currently, Class 3A, District 8 is comprised of Magoffin County, Belfry, Lawrence County, Estill County and Powell County. Belfry captured the 2024 Class 3A, District 8 title.
Hornets Blake Wireman, Caleb Perkins, Brayden Standifer, Grady Cole and Trey Rudd were named to the All-Class 3A, District 8 Team.
Braxton Montgomery, Benny Rudd, Jackson Gilliland, Braydon Eads, Dason Burchett, Gavin Arnett and Curtis Jenkins from Magoffin County were named All-Class 3A, District 8 Honorable Mention.
Powell County head coach Mike Jones was named the Class 3A, District 8 Coach of the Year.
Estill County senior running back/linebacker Jax Niece was named the Class 3A, District 8 Player of the Year.
Following realignment from the KHSAA, Class 3A, District 8 will be comprised of Magoffin County, Lawrence County, Estill County, Powell County and Letcher County Central in the 2025 high school football season.
