Ellis Reed, age 87, a resident of Allen Drive in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky.
Ellis was born October 25, 1934 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late Joe and Lizzie Ray Reed. Sisters, Armanda Willis and Annabelle Thornsberry, brother, Aaron Reed also preceded in death.
Ellis was a farmer and enjoyed being with his family.
Those left to mourn includes sister, Cleo Gray, two brother in laws, Larry Gray of Salyersville, Kentucky, Randall Thornsberry of Salyersville, Kentucky, nephews, Randall Scott Thornsberry, Michael Gray, both of Salyersville, Kentucky, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Ellis Reed were conducted Thursday, June 9, 2022 from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Floyd Arnett delivered comforting words on the day of service. Interment followed in the Reed Cemetery on Cow Creek in Salyersville, Kentucky.
