SALYERSVILLE — Three consecutive home games highlight Magoffin County’s 2023 schedule.
There will be no place like home for Magoffin County during the middle portion of the 2023 high school football regular season.
The Hornets are scheduled to host Martin County (Sept. 15), Belfry (Sept. 22) and Powell County (Sept. 29) for back-to-back-to-back home games.
Magoffin County will host Martin County for a non-district game. Both Belfry and Powell County are district opponents for the Hornets.
In all, Magoffin County is due to host five home games in the 2023 high school football season.
Magoffin County has additional home games slated versus Leslie County (Sept. 1) and longtime rival Morgan County (Oct. 27).
The Hornets have away games scheduled versus Montgomery County (Aug. 19), Lewis County (Aug. 25), Russell (Sept. 8), Lawrence County (Oct. 6) and Estill County (Oct. 20).
The Hornets will continue to compete in Class 3A, District 8. Along with Magoffin County, Class 3A, District 8 includes Belfry, Powell County, Lawrence County and Estill County.
Kickoff for each of Magoffin County’s games in the 2023 high school football season is slated for 7:30 p.m.
