SALYERSVILLE – Two alleged serial gas station shoplifters were arrested last week after reportedly stealing vapes from a local store – again.
According to the arrest warrants, Salyersville Police Department Officer Neil Adams responded to a Speedy’z in Salyersville for a shoplifting complaint on July 29. After reviewing the security footage, Adams reported that both suspects were clearly visible placing multiple vape pens in their pockets and leaving the store without paying for any of them. The value of the stolen merchandise was estimated by store employees to be more than $600.
Adams later located the two, identified as Jeff Marshall, 50, and Virginia Gambill, 43, both of East Maple Street, in Salyersville, conducting a traffic stop. They reportedly initially denied the theft, but after they were told they were on camera during the theft, they produced several of the stolen pens.
Both Marshall and Gambill were arrested on August 8 on East Maple Street, and taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, where they remain at press time, each facing the charge of theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting, greater than $500 and less than $1,000, a misdemeanor charge.
The two were arrested on the same charge in January this year after being caught on camera at VIP Fuels with Marshall reportedly taking product from the counter without paying while Gambill distracted the employee.
Editor’s Note: The indictment or charge of a person by a grand jury or otherwise is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Here again the great Laws have no bite in them. What happen to hard labor? They should make the pay back 10 times what they took ,also let them work of their jail time cleaning the streets and pubic rest rooms .

They both definitely look like winners, don’t they? I truly hate people who steal. Makes everything go up in price to everyone else who actually work for a living and BUY what they want and need!
