SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County is ranked sixth in the BluegrassPreps.com Preseason 15th Region Boys’ Basketball Rankings, which were released on Wednesday, Nov 22.
The Hornets are ranked ahead of Shelby Valley, Prestonsburg, Betsy Layne, Johnson Central, East Ridge, Paintsville, Belfry and Phelps.
Lawrence County, Floyd Central, Pike County Central, Pikeville and frontrunner Martin County precede Magoffin County in the BluegrassPreps,com Preseason 15th Region Boys’ Basketball Rankings. Martin County is the reigning 15th Region boys’ basketball champion.
Magoffin County is back on the court after compiling a 16-11 record in the 2022-23 boys’ high school basketball season.
The Hornets are slated to visit Wolfe County for a 2023-24 season opener on Thursday, Nov. 30.
Tip-off for the Magoffin County-Wolfe County boys’ basketball game is set for 7:30 p.m.
