PIKEVILLE – After excelling throughout the 2021 high school softball season, Magoffin County senior infielder Emily Bailey has been named to the Mountain Top Sports All-Area First Team.
Bailey thrived at the plate for Magoffin County as a senior, batting .523. She was 45-for-86.
Bailey was among the leaders for Magoffin County during her senior campaign, delivering in numerous areas.
As a team, Magoffin County, under the direction of head coach Tony Skaggs, compiled a 14-13 record in the 2021 high school softball season.
The 2021 high school softball season featured several standouts across the area.
In addition to Bailey, Emily Ford (Jr., Pikeville), Makenna Johnson (So., Letcher County Central), Laney Bledsoe (Fr., Paintsville), Molly Fahm (Fr., Belfry), Sydnee Lowe (Sr., Pike County Central), Danielle Crum (Fr., Lawrence County), Kelsey Adams (Jr., Pikeville), Linzee Phillips (Jr., Belfry), Clara Blair (Jr., Johnson Central), Kensley Feltner (So., Lawrence County), Abigail McDonald (So., Letcher County Central), Bree Jones (8th, Lawrence County), Emily Adkins (So., Johnson Central), Olivia Hall (Jr., Pikeville), Randi Delong (So., Johnson Central), Kyra Looney (Jr., Shelby Valley) and Riley Fleming (Fr., Shelby Valley) were named to the All-Area First Team.
