LEXINGTON — Magoffin County senior guard Aden Barnett was named to the All-UK HealthCare Boys’ Basketball Sweet 16 Tournament Team on Friday, March 22.
Barnett scored a game-high 24 points to lead Magoffin County past Perry County Central in the opening round of the UK HealthCare Boys’ Basketball Sweet 16 Tournament on Wednesday, March 20.
One of the state’s top high school student-athletes, Barnett scored 11 points in Magoffin County’s loss to Great Crossing during the second round of the UK HealthCare Boys’ Basketball Sweet 16 Tournament on Friday, March 22.
Prior to competing in the state tournament, Barnett was honored as the 15th Region Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year.
Barnett, who averaged 28.7 points per game during his senior season, continues to draw recruiting attention from several men’s college basketball programs.
