SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County senior lineman Ben Rudd committed to Union Commonwealth University on Monday, Feb. 3.
Union Commonwealth University (UCU) is located in Barbourville.
Rudd was among the leaders for Magoffin County throughout the 2024 high school football season, making an impact on each side of the line.
Offensively, Rudd helped to block for a productive Magoffin County team which averaged 244.4 rushing yards and 2.7 rushing touchdowns per game.
Defensively, Rudd recorded 28 tackles and one sack for the Hornets.
Currently, Levi Rudd, Ben Rudd’s older brother, is a lineman for UCU, which competes in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).
