Betty Jo Hall Holderby, age 83, a resident of Johnson Fork Road in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Monday, June 10, 2024 at her home.
Betty was born December 23, 1940 in South Charleston, Ohio the daughter of James “Jimmy” and Orpha Reed Hall. Husband, John N. Holderby, also preceded her in death thirty years from her passing.
Betty was a valuable asset to Magoffin County as she volunteered for multiple county programs after retiring from the Big Sandy Ad and as a home care aide. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Salyersville, Kentucky where she will be greatly missed.
Those left to mourn includes three daughters, Donna Summa and husband Danny of Royalton, Kentucky, Bonnie Clemons of Salyersville, Kentucky, Brenda Dyer and husband Jonathan of Salyersville, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Leigh Ann Holbrook, Amy Moore, Hunter Dyer, Chloe Dyer, four great grandchildren, a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral services for Betty Jo Holderby will be conducted Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Charles Puckett will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Caudill Cemetery on Holderby Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends anytime prior to funeral services.
