Betty Jane Eddy Minix age 74 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 at her home. She was born August 04, 1949 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Lloyd Hampton Eddy and Doria Bailey Abdon.
Survived by three daughters, Patty Sue (Paul Micheal) Marshall, Crystal Marie (Jamie) Bailey, Connie Lynn (Timmy Tibbs) Minix all of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, Lloyd (Eula Lee) Eddy of Chelsea, Michigan, two sisters, Penny Romine of Chelsea, Michigan, Rosie (Kenny) Burkes of Dexter, Michigan, half siblings, Delano Eddy, O’Dell Eddy, Floyd Eddy, Carolyn Kelley, Shirlene Coltrona all of Ohio, special brother-in-laws, Roger Dale (Jackie) Minix, Wendell (Sheila) Minix, Mark (Jennifer) Minix, six grandchildren, Cory Wayne Grant (Haleigh) Watson, Harrison Brady Watson, Benjamin Clay (Mahayla) Watson, Kennedy Bethann Garrett, Michael Reid Marshall, Lacie Mararose Tibbs, five great grandchildren, Chloe Marie Watson, Cora Jane Watson, Ellieana Grace Watson, Milo Henry Watson, Harlyn Jane Watson, with a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Patchell Wayne Minix, two brothers, Dave (Joy) Wireman, Mike Wireman, half sister, Pat Elder, brother-in-laws, Jim Romine, Tommy (Pansy) Minix, Joe Randall Minix and his wife Paula, grandparents, Estill and Betty Bailey, Jessie and Nettie Eddy, and her best friend and bingo buddy, Edna Rowe.
Betty was a long time employee at the Salyer Elementary School first as a cook, and then as teacher’s aide where all the students knew and loved her as Miss Betty.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Minix officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
