Betty Jo Arnett Lykins age 87 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at her home. She was born August 07, 1936 at Left Hand Johnson Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Woodroe and Versie Howard Arnett.
Survived by three sons, Jeffory Lykins of Salyersville, Kentucky, Ralph Jay (Annette) Lykins of oil Springs, Kentucky, John Timothy (Sandi) Lykins of Salyersville, Kentucky, three daughters, Nola Anne (Wayne) Johnson, Sally (Marty) Minix, Licia Lykins all of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, H. C. Arnett of Orlando, Florida, three sisters, Vicki Lou Ragins of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Patti (George) Smalley of Dalton, Georgia, Susie (James) Hoskins of Nancy, Kentucky, special niece, Melanie Arnett Cain, eleven grandchildren, Holly Johnson (Gregory) Cummings, Joshua (Lorna) Minix, Jessica Dawn Lykins, Zachariah Donta, Megan Lyons (David), Abbie Coffee (Josh), John Tyler Lykins (Caroline), Madison Claire (Justin) Ratliff, Josey Lykins, Grace Bailey, Jase Brady Lykins, fifteen great-grandchildren, Olivia, Riley Cate, Mila Reece, Chandler Rose, Demi Raine, Millie Jaymes, Baxter, Arabelle Jaye, Cain, Willa Jude, Naomi, Tristan, Conner, Shepherd, and Forrest.
In addition to her parents, Betty Jo is preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Lykins, one infant daughter, Jaietta Lykins, three brothers, Bobby Earl Arnett, W. B. “Dubb” Arnett, Woodroe Edison Arnett, and one sister-in-law, Nancy Allen Arnett.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Arbadella Reed and District Judge Dennis Prater officiating. Burial followed in the Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested contributions can be made to the Magoffin County Library Children’s Literacy Fund.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
