Carolyn Sue Bailey Hackworth, age 70, a resident of RC Arnett Spur in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away peacefully Monday, December 18, 2023 at her home.
Carolyn was born August 10, 1953 in Rensselaer, Indiana the daughter of the late Cleveland and Bertha Joseph Bailey. Sisters, Dorothy Bailey, Shirley Bailey, and Sandy Bauer also preceded in death.
Carolyn was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family and friends. Nothing made her happier then having the house full with her family.
Those left to mourn includes husband, Roger Hackworth of Salyersville, Kentucky; sons, Michael Hackworth and wife Ellina of Bell Air, Maryland, Jamie Hackworth and wife Jill of Salyersville, Kentucky, Scotty Hackworth and wife Barb of Salyersville, Kentucky; sisters, Sarah Edler of Salyersville, Kentucky, Betty Marshall of Adele, Kentucky; brothers, Larry Bailey of Salyersville, Kentucky, Saul Bailey of Salyersville, Kentucky, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral services for Carolyn Sue Hackworth will be conducted Friday, December 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Howard Connelley will deliver comforting words on the day of services. Interment will follow in Highlands Memorial Park Cemetery in Staffordsville, Kentucky. The family will receive friends all day Thursday, December 21, and anytime prior to funeral services.
