Darlene Roark Purvis age 68 of Flemingsburg, Kentucky formerly of Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the Perkins County Manor in Augusta, Kentucky. She was born May 24, 1958 at Cow Creek, Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Hayden and Delphia Stephens Roark.
Survived by two daughters, Stephanie and her husband Brandon Davis of Georgetown, Kentucky, Teresa and Randy Long of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, two sisters, Nebraska Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, Nevada Frasure of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Aaron Davis, Seth Davis, Daniel Davis, Landyn Applegate, and Jayden Applegate.
In addition to her parents, Darlene is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Purvis, six brothers, Billy Roark, Donald Roark, Calvin Roark, William Roark, Kernie Roark, infant brother, two sisters, Renella Roark, and Helen Conley.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, July 30, 2026 from the Bethlehem to Calvary Church at 4373 Hwy 460 W, Salyersville, Kentucky with Johnny Reed, Dallas Patrick, and Dwayne Gibson officiating. Burial followed in the Patrick-Lovely Cemetery at Johnson Fork, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
