Dorothy Conley Blanton, age 93, a resident of Blanton Branch Road in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
Mrs. Blanton was born June 10, 1929 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Sherman and Janie Prater Conley. Husband, Sam Blanton, son, Lonnie Blanton, sisters, Norsie Blanton, Delphia Smith, Helen Blanton, and brothers, Ishmel Conley, Ernie Conley, Hartford Conley also preceded in death.
Dorothy was a homemaker and devoted member to her family. She enjoyed quilting and has made many beautiful blankets for her family.
Those left to mourn includes sons, Leonard Blanton of Salyersville, Kentucky, Lesley Blanton of Paintsville, Kentucky, Larry Blanton of Salyersville, Kentucky, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, fifteen great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral services for Dorothy Blanton were conducted Monday, May 22, 2023 from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Dennis Marshall delivered comforting words on the day of service. Interment followed in the Blanton Family Cemetery on Blanton Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky.
